| The ONLY
trade organization for machine quilters, IMQA got its start at Machine
Quilters Showcase in Springfield, Missouri in 1998. Over the years the
membership has grown, board members have changed, the corporate office
has moved, but the goal of the organization remains the same...to
further the professional development of machine quilters and the
profession of machine quilting as well as the development of machine
quilters in the private sector. IMQA provides a network of support and
information to members, information to the general public and also
provides assistance and guidance to other organizations concerning the
machine quilting industry. Membership in IMQA
includes the informative longarm quilter's magazine ON TRACK! 4 (four)
times a year, optional business listing on the IMQA web site, discounted
quilt entry fees for Machine Quilters Showcase (MQS®), discount cards
for supply purchases and regional group support.
Since education is our main focus, IMQA purchased
Machine Quilters Showcase in order to be able to provide the highest
level of educational opportunities to machine quilters. MQS is an annual
convention and quilt show featuring classes, vendors, special events and
networking opportunities. |
